RMT 25 (TH) Top Hammer Wagon Drills

It is functionally equivalent to the Atlas Copco BVB 25-12 top hammer wagon drill — the same platform that Atlas Copco equipped with the BBC 120F rock drill — and the RMT 25 TH runs on the same RMT 120F pneumatic drifter, which is 100% equivalent to the OEM model Epiroc BBC 120F.

With a hole diameter range of 45-75 mm and drilling depth of 20-40 metres (66-131 feet), it uses R32, R38 or T38 drill rods.

Open Cast, Underground, Limestone, Sandstone — One Rig, All Conditions

The RMT 25 TH is primarily used for open-cast blast hole drilling, sandstone and limestone slotting, and also in underground mining development drilling (2.5 m feed beam), if the height of the mine supports the length of the feed beam.

Its rifle-bar rotation feature – the same system used in the BBC 120F drifter – ensures consistent hole straightness and penetration rate across different rock types and formations.

RMT 25 TH vs DTH — Choosing the Right Version for Your Drill Programme

The RMT 25 comes in two versions — the Top Hammer (TH) and the DTH version — and, with a quick conversion kit, either version can be easily converted to the other.

The TH version excels in drilling projects where 45-75 mm holes are sufficient (typical quarry blast holes and development headings).

While the DTH version handles 85-130 mm holes using 3" or 4" hammers for larger blast patterns.
