CP 32A Pneumatic Rock Drill | Chicago Pneumatic Sinker Drill | 8900 0020 13/ 8900 0020 17

Imagine you're deep inside a mine. The air smells of rock dust, your shift starts in twenty minutes, and you need to drill a precise blast hole straight down through hard granite. What you need is a tool that doesn't complain, doesn't slip, and doesn't ask for a long lunch break. That's the CP 32A Pneumatic Rock Drill (8900 0020 13)

The CP 32A is an original Chicago Pneumatic pneumatic sinker drill — one of the most recognised downward-drilling rock drills in the world. At 24.5 kg, it's light enough for a single miner to position and control, yet powerful enough to blast through the kind of rock that would bend a lesser tool.

It uses a 22 x 108 mm shank (Part No. 8900002013 / T022117) for standard deep hole applications and a shorter 22 x 82.5 mm shank (Part No. 8900002017 / T0022318) for tighter spaces.

Key Features of the CP 32A

Think of the CP 32A as a well-trained athlete — it performs at a high level and bounces back quickly. Here is what makes it stand out:

  • High-speed drilling — The CP 32A punches through rock at a rate that keeps blast hole schedules on track, making it a favourite on time-sensitive quarry and mining sites
  • Efficient lubrication system — Like the oil in a car engine, this drill's internal lubrication system keeps its moving parts protected and reduces the chance of something wearing out mid-shift
  • Low maintenance design — Fewer trips to the maintenance bay means more time on the face. The CP 32A is built so that the parts that wear out most often are also the easiest to reach and replace
  • Tough latch retainer — This is the part that holds the drill steel in place as the tool hammers into rock. A weak retainer means wasted energy and a steel that wobbles. The CP 32A's latch retainer is built to grip firmly, reducing wear at the collar (the point where the steel enters the rock) and keeping the hole straight
  • Blower lever for deep hole cleaning — As you drill deeper, broken rock dust fills the hole and slows progress. The blower lever lets the operator blast air down the hole to flush it clean without stopping the drill entirely — saving real minutes on every hole

Why Select the CP 32A

There are several sinker drills available on the RMT platform. So why the CP 32A over the others?

If your operation already runs Chicago Pneumatic equipment — CP 0069 or CP 0022 — then the CP 32A fits straight into your existing spare parts system without buying a whole new set of consumables. That alone can save a mine thousands of dollars a year in inventory.

The CP 32A is also one of the few sinker drills in this class available in two shank sizes. Think of the shank like the plug on an appliance — you need the right one for your socket. Having two options means you can select the tools as per your need without the need to compromise by buying different tools.

Where is the CP 32A Rock Drill is used?

This drill is used in blast hole drilling, excavation work, shaft sinking, quarry drilling, bench mining and road construction — essentially any job where you need a hole going straight down through tough material. Whether you're on a gold mine in Africa or a limestone quarry in South America, the CP 32A is a reliable companion.

With RMT you can buy the original Chicago Pneumatic CP 32A, available in both shank sizes. If you want low-cost CP32A aftermarket spares which are 100% equivalent to OEM, RMT is the best place to buy from, as procuring directly from the manufacturer of pneumatic rock drill spares in India, you get the benefit of better pricing and faster delivery along with the warranty.
