BBD 12D - Pneumatic Rock Drill

Weighing 9.8 kg (20 lbs Rock Drill), the BBD 12D is light enough to carry between jobs, and its D-handle is specifically shaped for horizontal control — this is what separates it from the T-handled BBD 12T, which is built for vertical-down drilling instead.

Typical applications include plug hole drilling, anchor and wedge hole drilling, and general concrete drilling to a maximum depth of around one metre.

Running at just 24 l/s air consumption with an impact rate of about 2,580 blows per minute, the BBD 12D delivers a penetration rate suited to shallow, high-frequency holes rather than deep blast holes. It uses a kick-latch-style retainer for fast steel changes, a feature common across the BBD range.
