Where is the BBC 16W Pneumatic Jackleg Drill Used?

The BBC 16W is also known as the perforadora PUMA BBC 16W in the Peruvian market. After the Boart Longyear Seco 250 Drill (RMT 250), BBC 16W is one of the most popular drills used in Peru.

It comes with the standard shank of 22 x 108 mm, similar to SECO 250. Thus, similar rock drilling tools can be used in both the tools.

Underground Mining

The BBC 16W is used for both development drilling (advancing new headings and drifts as a mine expands) and production drilling (drilling blast holes in established stopes to extract ore).

Its higher blows-per-minute rate makes it well suited to the repetitive, high-volume drilling that production work demands.
